The short version
sofast gives you free website hosting for one static site: 50 MB of space, a sofast subdomain and an automatic SSL certificate (the padlock behind HTTPS). There is no credit card and no ads on your site. You drag your folder in, and the site is online. Commercial use is allowed.
It is built for people who made a site with an AI tool such as Claude, ChatGPT or Lovable and now need to put it online. No server, no command line, no build settings. If your site is a folder of HTML, CSS and images, it fits.

50 MB is more than it sounds for a static site. A typical portfolio or landing page built with an AI tool is a few HTML files, one stylesheet and some compressed images. Large videos and heavy PDFs are what fill the space first.
What free does not include
Every free host has a catch. Here are ours, stated plainly so you can decide before you upload.
Your site will not appear on Google. Free sites are set to noindex, a tag that asks search engines not to list them. Anyone with the link can visit the site, but it will not show up in search results. That suits a client preview or a portfolio you send directly. It does not suit a business site that needs to be found.
No custom domain. Your site lives on a sofast subdomain. Your own domain name, such as yourname.com, starts on the Starter plan.
Inactive accounts are deleted. A Free account inactive for 90 days is deleted, along with its site. Keep a copy of your files, as you would with any host.
One site, static files only. sofast serves HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images. It does not run server code, databases or WordPress.
How to host a website for free in three steps
- Export your site as a folder or ZIP. Most AI tools offer a download. Check that the folder contains an index.html file.
- Create a free sofast account. Email and password, no credit card.
- Drag the folder in. Pick your address, and the site is live. Upload a new version later, and it keeps the same address.

When to move to a paid plan
Move up when you need your site found on Google, your own domain, or more than one site. Starter costs $5 a month billed yearly ($6 monthly) for one site with a custom domain and 2 GB of space. Pro and Large cover 10 and 30 sites for agencies. Every plan is compared on our homepage.

Other free hosts are more generous on some points, and you should know which. Cloudflare Pages and GitHub Pages include a custom domain for free, and Cloudflare Pages allows 20,000 files per site. sofast trades raw quota for the shortest path from a finished folder to a live link. If that is what you need, the Free plan is the fastest way to try it.
